Others won't have the opportunity I had

As a single parent I would not have considered TAFE with such high fees. The Diploma of Welfare has opened so many doors not just for me, but for my children too.

It has been a long hard journey, but one that I would never change, and one that I will never forget. I will take this experience with me forever, and never forget the supportive people and environment that TAFE has provided.

It makes me so sad and mad when I think other people in similar circumstances will not have this same opportunity.

On a broader level, I'm so angry that the whole education system will be subject to delivering courses in a competitive, cost effective, cut throat manner.

With education taking this direction, what kind of workers will we have working with our most disadvantaged and vulnerable people? My guess is workers with a rushed and lesser quality education. I truly feel for teachers that are so passionate about what they teach in their chosen fields.

I am a single parent as well and I would have never been able to attend uni either if the costs had been high. Why take away more from those who cant afford it!!
