Government's TAFE "reforms" haven't reformed a thing
The government’s ‘skills reforms’ are not achieving what they hoped.
TAFE teachers are beginning to speak up to share their evidence that increases TAFE fees are damaging public education.
The TAFE4All campaign has argued that increasing fees and abolishing concession study rates would make study more difficult for students – now teachers are telling us that’s exactly what is happening.
Julie-Anne Noble, health sciences teacher at Ballarat University TAFE said that “The teachers I’m speaking to are not happy.
“Teachers are saying that the fee increases are discouraging students and restricting their courses,” she said.
“One teacher has been warned he will probably be made redundant next year as it’s expected that enrolments in his course will drop dramatically. There is anticipation of course cancellations.”
TAFE changes are hurting TAFE students and teachers, and prohibiting access to education.

Let’s show equal access to TAFE education is worth fighting – and voting – for.
